Salam alykum dearest Muslimahs,

The last month for the year 2018 is upon us! Happy new month to you all. It is my prayer that this last part of the year would be a blessed and fruitful one for you, Ameen.

The year is almost over and we have gone round it doing one thing or the other, trying to achieve our goals, pursue our dreams and moving on to the next stage of our lives. It has not being easy for most of us. For some its being a roller coaster year.

My message to you this end of the year is to be grateful, be thankful to Allah S.W.T for the life he has giving you up till now. Your life might not be great but give thanks for having it still and be hopeful. We all whine a lot about the things we want but we don’t have, so much we forgot Allah’s mercy and grace upon us to be alive, to be full and not starving, to be healthy and not sick including a lot more.

“Then we forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful. “(Quran 2:52)

Ask yourself these questions.
“How is my relationship with Allah this year? I wanted so many things but have I even fasted once apart from Ramadan since the year started? Have I even woken up for Taahjud in the night to ask for His favour? Do I even perform my Solah on time?” and a lot more.
Still Allah’s mercy transcends all these. He even gave you when you didn’t ask. So be thankful and grateful to Him. Your current situation is not the worst, so don’t look back on this year and think because you couldn’t achieve your goals Allah didn’t give you anything this year.

“I am as my servant thinks I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hands length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.” {sahih Al-Bukhari}

This end of the year, prioritize more, strengthen your bond with your Lord. Take care of yourself physically, have fun more you deserve it. Find more time for yourself. Impact the people around you positively. Prepare gift for that friend or family member who made 2018 a lot easier for you. Check on your mental health always, be happy and live life.

Enjoy the rest of the year; don’t beat yourself too hard if you couldn’t meet up with the quota you created for yourself this year. It’s just how life is, you can always continue from where you stopped.
